Crazy Battle

Today was crazy. One of the leaders got sick last minute and had to leave the other went to a conference in Montreal. That left us with 2 leaders to do everything and 20 youth. The ratio is supposed to be 1:6.

On top of that the youth were possessed today or something.
There was stuff going on everywhere. I could feel something was off.

The key to the battle is too be able to control your emotions and not get angry. To be able to be patient and respond with love in every situation. Its tempting to respond in anger but a Christian does not overcome evil with evil but with good.
Its hard when the kids talk back to you, don't listen to you, tell you they don't like you and are always going into the kitchen trying to steal food.

I saw a lot of things today.
Some of the kids are caught up in some serious stuff. They don't understand the consequences of what they are doing.

On the surface things appear to be ok, but when you look deeper things are far from it.

There's a battle not against the flesh, but against the principalities of this dark world

This whole week has been pretty crazy and tiring.
I can feel myself growing.
The people that God has placed in my life are all crazy spiritually mature people.
I am humbled. It pushes me to mature more and more.

God has been revealing to me the spiritual warfare that goes on. Its heavy stuff.

One of our camp supervisors was sick all last week and then today we found out that she resigned from Urban Promise due to health reasons. All last week of camp was pretty chaotic but we thought that things would get better when she got back. It came to a shock to everyone at Urban Promise. She was the newest supervisor and was doing very well and suddenly she isn't?

So right now we have no supervisor for kids at Camp Victory.

i felt so guilty when i asked my parents

Trial --> Temptation

The battle is getting more intenseeeee.
This week had its up and downs, its always a struggle.
We are concerned about some of the youth..the girls especially some of them are off..
The more experienced leaders know their background doing some sketch stuff and their only so young.

we don't know what they do outside of the program its hard.

anyways satan is attacking throwing some temptation my way. for now I feel like the Father is here giving us strength but I gotta stay alert or I might get owned.

Freak of Society

I'm a freak of society
Pushing against the current of humanity
Don't Desire the world's vanities
To run after those is insanity

I'd rather hear a sermon than watch T.V
I'd rather do a bible study than go bubble tea
Rather sing praises to God than sing karaoke
Rather love the homeless than watch a movie.
I'd rather read my bible than any other book.
I value the heart more than good looks
I'd rather pray than waste my time macking on girls
I treasure God more than anything else~
I don't need to gratify the desires on my sins because He satisfies the longing deep within.

I've gone off the deep end into the insane
but there is soo much love, grace, peace, joy and power in Jesus' name.
